So some of you may have noticed that our social media is finally starting to get some activity. I registered all our social accounts almost a year ago when I first started playing with the idea of launching a game development company (well, all but Instagram), but they didn’t really see any use until this week. The reasoning behind the lack of content is two-fold. First, it took me a year to actually get to the point where social media was relevant. Second, I’m far from a social media guru.
The sad fact of the matter is that, unfortunately, I’ve never really been able to get “into” social media. Something might get posted to my personal Twitter account once a month, and my Facebook account is closer to once a year. It’s not that I have anything against social media per se, I’ve just never really felt the need to express myself in any overtly social way. But… game development has changed that, at least to some extent. I now understand the concept of posting updates on a regular basis. I get that fans want to be kept in the loop… down to the nanosecond. So, my pledge to our fans is that as things change, as we develop new products, as development happens on existing products, we will keep you in the loop. You want Twitter? You got it. Facebook? Done. Youtube? We’ve got a channel (follow us so we can get enough to get a vanity URL!). Instagram… well, as soon as I figure it out.
If you have a question, feel free to ask and we’ll do our best to answer promptly and professionally. If you have a suggestion, send it our way… we want to hear it! If you think there’s something we can improve on, let us know! We can’t fix things that we don’t know are broken! Follow, like and share us to help spread the word… We’ll even return the favor!
See you on the social web!
